I`m a friendly, enthusiastic, and patient tutor with a passion for helping students to reach their full potential and ignite their love for learning.
I graduated with a First Class MSci degree in Geology from Imperial College London in 2024 and achieved 3 A*s in Physics, Chemistry and Maths at A-Level in 2020. My approach to tutoring is adaptable and encouraging - I tailor every session to suit the student`s individual learning style, focusing on understanding and confidence by methods (e.g. learning and creating mnemonics, combining verbal and visual explanations like colour coding), asking open questions to develop independent thinking, and using worked examples. Then we can progress to exercises, active recall, quizzes, and spaced repetition with subsequent goal setting.
I excelled at my 11+ exam and, as a result, attended a top grammar school from 2013-2020 where I earned stellar grades at GCSE and A-Level. During those 7 years, I did so well on mandatory IQ tests that I was put forward twice for extended projects for a handful of selected students - one before GCSEs and one before A-Levels.
Alongside my academic background, I have been teaching dance to people aged 2 to 80 for two and a half years, utilising my 20 years` dance experience. It has strengthened my communication and taught me how to make learning fun, engaging, and accessible for all ages and abilities.
