Information about Manir
I have a degree in Biochemistry (studied under prof Keith Gull of Oxford University) and I`ve been a Maths and Science tutor for over 12 years with experience of in person and online tutoring as well as classroom experience in Schools and have delivered revision courses.
I`m passionate about delivering lessons that are as interesting and engaging as they are informative.
I am experienced with all major exam boards and past papers , this allows my lessons to be exam focused highlighting key explanations required by the examiner.
I have helped pupils of all abilities and have seen all the different issues and blockages that students can have when it comes to learning, and am well practised in finding explanations and methods that work for different types of learners. I help students close gaps in knowledge, strengthen their exam technique, and build the confidence needed to perform at their best.
My Teaching Style
I begin by assessing each student to understand their strengths and areas for development. I then tailor every lesson to their individual needs, using clear and specification-based resources. My sessions often include concise PowerPoint summaries and exam-style questions to help students apply what they’ve learned in real exam scenarios.
I also run regular mock exams to track progress and provide targeted support—keeping students and parents fully informed along the way.
While strong exam results are always my priority, I also aim to inspire confidence and genuine interest in the subject—because when students enjoy learning, they achieve more.
Availability: Daytime, evenings, and weekends
Willing to travel: 50 miles
