Information about Edward
I had an international upbringing in Paris, Ivory Coast, Brussels and London. Coming from an international family I was brought up speaking both French and English as concurrent mother tongues. At school I was passionate about all subjects, from literature to science and sports. Thus, I completed an international baccalaureate which allowed me to pursue a variety of subjects. I achieved top marks in French, English literature and science subjects before going to university where I obtained First Class honours in Physics from the University of Warwick. I am now studying Medicine at King`s College London.
From the age of 16 I have tutored over 20 students in a variety of subjects, my favourite subject to tutor is French, as it is my strongest subject in a teaching role. I am passionate about the acquisition of real language skills alongside academic support to help students truly gain knowledge and expertise from classes that will be useful lifelong.
Availability: I am available every evening during the week for lessons of different duration (minimum one hour). Discount for longer lessons and I hope that we are able to work together with regular frequency over a longer duration.
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: I have tutored over 20 students in a variety of subjects, including 5 students in French: 3 at GCSE level (all passed with As), 1 at A-level and 1 adult learner. I encourage students that want to not only improve marks, but also gain genuine language skills to work with me. I am passionate about literature and often use high quality, level-appropriate texts as a basis for lessons and learning.
