Hi my name is Sherika and I tutor in the subject maths.

I graduated with a Maths degree from Bristol in 2012 and since then I have worked in Finance and provided private maths tuition up to GCSE.

Maths has always been a subject I have had a passion for and I enjoy providing support to students to help them love the subject and to watch them progress and thrive on this subject.

My approach to tutoring is simple but effective. I would like to have a conversation with the student before our first session in order to understand what their weakness is in this subject.

I will then work with the students on topics they are struggling with or don`t understand with intermediate tests in between to make sure methods are understood.

I will help students by breaking down their problems into smaller, yet easier problems for them to solve.

I like to record all of my students progress with this subject and I give regular feedback to the parents. My main aim is to provide the support needed and to build confidence in each of my students when it comes to tackling any maths problem.

This then helps them persevere at school and in exams as they understand concept.
