I am a qualified primary school teacher having completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (Primary 5-11) at Bishop Grosseteste University College, Lincoln in 2010. This followed my undergraduate degree in Philosophy at the University of Durham. I have worked as a full time primary school teacher in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and County Durham before recently moving to the Tyne Valley. I love teaching and seeing children learn and gain confidence in their abilities and since having my own child, I`ve missed being in the classroom so I am relishing this new opportunity.

Experience: I have experience in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have worked with children with a variety of different abilities including SEND and always ensure that I plan appropriate activities and sessions to engage children, increase their confidence, cater to their unique, individual needs and help them to reach their full potential.

I am able to tutor any subject at Primary level including helping your child work towards the Year 1 Phonics screening tests or SATs testing in Key Stages 1 and 2. If you have any questions then please get in touch.

I have completed training in a variety of areas across the Primary Curriculum including Guided Reading, Read Write Inc Phonics and Assessment and Monitoring and I will use all of the skills I have gained to help your child in the required area.
