I am originally from Argentina and I have been living in the UK since 2004.
In my home country I worked as a primary and secondary school teacher as well I was working as a journalist, which is my first university qualification.
I have had the chance to travel to Asian countries that has allowed me to understand different cultures and people.
I have a passion for any activity that embraces challenging and learning something new is in my nature.

Experience: I have six years of experience as an Adult Spanish tutor and nine years as a MFL Teacher of Spanish and French.
As an adult tutor, I have taught Spanish from beginners to Advanced students, and as a secondary teacher I have been teaching Spanish across all key stages and French in KS3 and KS4.
In my position as a MFL Secondary Teacher, these strengths allowed me to accomplish short- and long-range objectives, while contributing to a vibrant, inclusive institute culture. A small selection of my key projects and accomplishments includes creating individualised plans and programs to facilitate a targeted, personalised approach to education while stimulating students’ enjoyment and appreciation for the Spanish and French languages and integrating new technology into lessons to capture student interest and engagement.
In my most recent position as MFL Secondary Teacher for Bishop Stopford School, I developed and taught various grade curricula. I provided effective classroom management, creative lesson plans, detailed student evaluations and highly praised instructional delivery. I had an opportunity to create and share resources and I have been in charge of creating the schemes of work for all the year groups in Spanish. The last two academic years, I have been responsible for all KS4 resources and assessments, using a range of programmes such as X-pro, Teachit, Thisislanguage, Quizlet, Teams and incorporating sentences builders teaching strategy suggested by the specialist Gianfranco Conti.
I have attended AQA courses specifically designed for GCSE and A level examining teachers and acted as the internal examining teacher for Year 13 last year. I have been involved in a Spanish mentoring programme for Year 11 students as well.
In addition to my day-to-day teaching responsibilities, I have organised extracurricular activities for Year 11, 12 and 13. For instance, with the A-level groups (both year 12 and 13), I have coordinated a “Spanish Cinema Club” during lunch time where students had an opportunity to watch films in the target language (Spanish). The fact that these films were originally from Spain and Latin America helped them to gain a cultural, political, and social awareness and to understand the world issues in more depth. I believe that, apart from learning how to speak a language, students need to have a full understanding of the world around them.
