Information about Sam
Hi! My name is Sam and I graduated from the University of Oxford two years ago with a First class BA in Philosophy and Theology. Since then I`ve completed an MA Law conversion course, achieving a Distinction and the highest grade in my year, and am now beginning my training as a barrister. I spent my university summers tutoring students ranging from Year 5 to GCSE-level in various subjects, including Maths, Verbal Reasoning, English, and the three sciences, and I`m now expanding to students at higher levels, particularly in law and philosophy at degree level. Whether you need a little help getting to grips with a particular topic, or would like someone to help walk you through a subject from start to finish, please do get in touch and I`d be more than happy to help out!
Availability: I have a lot of flexibility regarding booking sessions at the moment, so I`m happy to be directed by you. Let me know whatever time suits you and I will do my best to make it work! Given the current covid-19 restrictions, I am happy to conduct online lessons, or undertake socially-distanced face-to-face sessions.

Experience: While studying at university, I tutored during my summer holidays. My students were from a broad range of backgrounds, ranging from those still in primary schools to those in their final year of GCSE studies, and so I have ample experience deploying different approaches and strategies structured around the student`s abilities. By incorporating curriculum guides into my teaching style and structure, I can offer simple, yet comprehensive explanations on relevant topics while ensuring holistic guidance that covers whole modules and exam specifications.
I`m also now tutoring students in Law and Philosophy up to degree level. In Philosophy, I`m well-versed in epistemology, Plato`s texts, the philosophy of time and reality, and formal logic, and ethics. In Law, I`m happy to discuss any topic in Criminal, Tort, Equity & Trusts, Contract, Land, EU, and Public/Constitutional Law.
