I am Leanne, a recent Oxford University graduate, where I studied Biomedical Sciences for 3 years and graduated with a 2.i. I specialise in teaching the maths and sciences up to GCSE and up to A-Level for Biology. I received top grades in A-Level Maths, Chemistry and Biology as well as in AS-Level Geography and my GCSEs. Having had the amazing opportunity to benefit from the small teaching groups at Oxford University, I can appreciate how advantageous private tuition can be, as you can focus on an individual`s weaknesses and move at a pace that is right for them. My experience coaching gymnastics and dancing has taught me the importance of adapting teaching techniques to each individual and how critical precise feedback can be for the progress of a child. I believe that I am an approachable individual, willing to answer any questions and I would be invested in each individual, their progress, and helping them reach the best of their ability. Interests outside of academia include dancing, skiing, cheerleading, and whilst at University I was part of St. John`s College Netball first team and was captain of Oxford University Gymnastics Club, as well as the St. John`s College Sports Rep.
By tutoring, I can use my academic knowledge to help students build confidence and develop a passion for learning.

Experience: I have experience tutoring family friends who were struggling in GCSE level maths and science. I also have a lot of experience working with children from gymnastics coaching and dance teaching, so I know how to build a rapport with a student and how to adapt my teaching style to suit the individual. I find teaching a very rewarding job, as it is great knowing you have made a difference and instilled more confidence in an individual.
