Information about Ollie
Having gained a DfE Scholarship to Wells Cathedral School in 2011, Ollie
studied trumpet, piano and composition and was awarded the Nathan
Hewitt Trumpet Prize for The most outstanding trumpet player. In 2013,
he gained a place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama to study both
trumpet and piano, subsequently performing at the NatWest OSCA Awards
for the England Cricket Team at Lords Cricket Ground, with the London
Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Simon Rattle in the premiere of Sir
Peter Maxwell Davies last work, The Hogboon, and more recently for HRH
The Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward and HRH The Honourable Lady Ogilvy,
Princess Alexandra. Ollie graduated in 2017 with First Class Honours in
trumpet and piano from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
In chamber music, Ollie also performs and manages the brass ensemble
Elysium Brass, with whom performances have included at the
Barbican Sound Unbound Festival, multiple returns to Leicester
International Music Festival as well as at the Festival de Torroella de Montgri
in Spain amongst others.
Committed to education, Ollie teaches both trumpet and piano to students of
all levels privately and also for Forte Arts Ltd, Wandsworth Schools Music
Service and Quintessentially Education.
