I am a highly enthusiastic and motivated professional individual with a real passion for chemistry. I graduated from the University of Reading with a 1st Class Honours MChem (4 Year combined Masters degree) in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry before moving on to the University of Greenwich to study a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry, where I am currently in the process of submitting my thesis for examination.

I have also spent time in the chemical industry, working at a BioTech CRO for 1.5 years, and have also received sponsorship from AstraZeneca throughout my PhD, and completed a three month secondment at their site in Macclesfield.

Experience: I love to teach and prefer the method of helping students to find the answer themselves along with my guidance. I find this method more rewarding for the student and creates a positive experience, which will reinforce their learning. I have developed teaching skills by teaching regular practical lab classes over the four years of my PhD. I also tutored groups of undergrad students within research group meetings, and acted a source of practical teaching for undergrad lab projects.
