Im a Film Production graduate with a PGCE in Further Education and current experience teaching A Level Film, BTEC Media, and CTEC Media. I design and deliver lessons that develop both analytical and creative skills, supporting students with coursework, practical production projects, and exam preparation.
Alongside media teaching, Ive also taught English as a second language, helping learners of different abilities to build confidence in reading, writing, and speaking. My approach is structured yet flexibletailoring each session to individual goals, whether improving grades, refining technical skills with Adobe software, or developing critical thinking.
With a background as a producer of award-nominated short films, I bring real-world insight to my lessons, making learning practical, engaging, and relevant.

Experience: I have taught a range of courses across post-16 education, including A Level Film Studies, BTEC Media, and CTEC Media at Thomas Rotherham College, where I have planned and delivered lessons that balance theoretical understanding with hands-on production skills. My teaching has involved guiding students through complex topics such as film language, media theory, and industry practice, while also mentoring them in practical courseworksupporting short film, poster, and magazine projects using Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop. I have gained experience in curriculum planning, classroom management, and assessment, ensuring students remain motivated, engaged, and on track to meet their targets. In addition to media teaching, I have delivered English lessons as an ESOL teacher, working with learners of different ages and abilities to improve their reading, writing, and spoken language skills through carefully tailored, confidence-building activities. I have also worked briefly as a performing arts teaching assistant, supporting inclusive, creative workshops for students from early years to adults. Across all these roles, I have built strong skills in adapting lessons to meet diverse needs, fostering critical thinking, and creating a positive, productive learning environment.
