Hi, I’m Mimi!
 
Growing up, I loved both the logical and satisfying nature of mathematical problem-solving and the creativity of writing and studying literature, so I loved mathematics and English in equal measure from an early age. I help my students foster the same love of learning by giving them insights into how these subjects shape the world. Through bespoke curriculums, games, technology and exclusive past exam papers, I help children develop the mathematical problem-solving skills and English writing and comprehension skills they need to excel.
 
After graduating from University College London with a BA in English, I spent a year working as Director of Studies at a tuition centre where I taught English and maths to children from primary through to A Level, before deciding to pursue a full-time teaching career. I returned to University College London to gain my PGCE in Mathematics while training as a secondary mathematics teacher at a West London Academy via the Teach First Leadership Development Programme where I taught maths from Year 7 to Year 13 and was rated an outstanding teacher.
 
With over 7 years of private tutoring experience and 3 years of classroom experience, I now have deep expertise in teaching Mathematics and English at all levels, from Year 1 all the way through to A Level. I specialise in Key Stages 2 to 4, including preparation for SATs, 11+, 13+, GCSE and IGCSE, and I have supported pupils in preparing for and gaining entrance to a range of competitive day and boarding schools including North London Girls` Consortium schools, Eton, Latymer Upper, Winchester and St. Paul’s.
