Hi, I’m Anchala. I’m currently a third year student studying Accounting and Finance. I have 3+ years of experience with tutoring students from reception up until Year 6, including 11+ as well.

So here is how my lessons with a student will usually go regardless of it being face-to-face or online:

Every Student will have a taster session for their first lesson.

The first session will be a chance for me to understand strengths and weakness of the student in order to prepare for future lessons. It will also be a chance for the student to see if they understand and like the manner that I tutor in.

After the first taster session, each lesson will be filled with examples, explanations, classwork, marking and corrections. The aim is to have the student complete the work independently, and explain in confidence back to me on how they figured out the answer.

Homework will be set regularly specific to what had been done in the lesson and will be marked and sent prior to next lesson.

At the end of each session, the student will get their feedback from me and I will also be providing feedback to the parent(s) regularly as well.

Experience: Hello. I`m Anchala, a second-year student at university studying accounting and finance. I`ve got 3+ years of experience tutoring English, maths and science from Key Stage 1 to GCSE and 11+(verbal, nonverbal, maths and English) online and face-to-face. Lessons will either take place online or at my home. I can give one or two classes per week. Lessons will include interactive tutoring, worksheets, homework with detailed feedback and assessments. For 11+, I would practice past papers and work on areas of weakness.
