Information about Samuel
Hi, I`m Samuel and I`m a medical student at the University of Warwick. Having also done a previous degree in Biomedical Sciences I have a wealth of knowledge to pass down to help you get the best out of yourself and your exams. Feel free to contact me and arrange your first session!
Availability: I am available on weekends and weekday evenings but I am willing to discuss the days and times that will best suit you.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: My tutoring experience began whilst working for a charity called IntoUniversity as a voluntary academic tutor and mentor. The organisation provides tutoring to school children in disadvantaged areas, and I was privileged enough to work with school children from primary school age right through to year 11.
At Warwick Medical School I have volunteered in Widening Participation Programmes to help prospective medical students from neighbouring areas run through mock medical interviews and prepare for the medical school application process as a whole. I believe tutorship and mentorship go hand in hand, and having recently been through the education system and having been mentored myself I know of the rewards to be reaped. I would like to pass down my knowledge and share my experiences - the good and the bad - to help you through also.
I have been with TutorHunt for the past year and have helped students supersede their targets. Some of the results I was most proud of came from my year 13 A-level Chemistry students, I helped them achieve the following:
Moving from a grade U to a C
Moving from a grade D to an A
Moving from a grade C to an A*
As this shows I am able to work with students at different learning stages and abilities and help them realise their potential all the same.
DBS Check: Yes

Sam has been working to support my daughter in her A level Chemistry and is really good at explaining topics and some more challenging concepts in a more straightforward way than one of her teachers so she is gaining a far more greater in depth understanding which is pushing her grades up, making her more confident as well. Long may this continue.

Sam has been working with my year 9 son for a year and helping him get ready for GCSE maths for year 10/11. When my son started with Sam he was struggling with maths and a year later he is emerging with confidence and is gaining much higher results. His teachers have recognized his improvement and he is steadily moving upwards. Sam has been a brilliant tutor for my son and is also a great role model who my son enjoys spending time with. I would not hesitate in recommending Sam as a tutor.

Sam is an organised knowledgeable tutor in sciences. He has been an enormous amount of help to my daughter in preparing for A level chemistry.
