I am a very friendly, positive and bubbly teacher and I love my job! Every new student I teach fills me with a new challenge and adventure and I still find it fascinating how each child learns and holds information in different ways. I like to think that I am approachable and I try to make my lessons as fun and upbeat as possible. I ensure that I am hitting the areas that need covering and I create opportunities to assess as we go along in order to find out those next steps to move forward to. I make sure this is all in a way that the pupil learns best. Every light bulb moment is worth its weight in gold!

Availability: I have some daytime availability suitable for a pupil educated from home.

Weekday evening availability and potentially a weekend.

Experience: I am an experienced teacher and have been teaching since 2010. I have taught from Reception all the way up to KS3 and currently teach English at secondary level. I have been a private tutor for the last 7 years and have worked with students ranging from YrR to KS3, also. I teach both maths and English across these ages and can also cover specific exam practice.

I have guided many students through 11+ and 13+ exams and have a strong knowledge of the pass criteria. I have a sound understanding of verbal and non-verbal reasoning as this is something that is not always taught in depth via class lessons in school.

I am also very experienced with year 6 SATs and have tutored and taught many pupils in the past to achieve their full potential to give them a good grounding for year 7 and also to guide them through the tests and help them to become familiar with the style of questioning.
