Information about Ben
Hi guys!
I’m Ben, a TEFL-qualified teacher (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) based in Edgware, North London. Born and raised in London, I have been teaching for over a year and have students from all over the world, including France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Poland and Switzerland. My classes are one-to-one: I can come to you – either in a local cafe or at your home – and I also do Skype lessons.
I have a real mixture of students, with some complete beginners learning the basics of English, some studying for exams, such as the FCE (Cambridge First), IELTS and TOEFL, and some advanced students simply looking to improve their English. My classes focus on the needs of the student.
I can help:
- To improve your grammar skills
- Speaking/pronunciation
- Reading and writing
- Preparing for English exams
- Business English
I am based in Edgware in North West London, but will happily travel to nearby areas such as Barnet, Mill Hill, Finchley, Colindale, Hendon, Stanmore, Queensbury, Harrow, Borehamwood and I can travel further if you are willing to cover expenses.

My background is in media I have a Masters Degree in Journalism from Birkbeck College (University of London) and have been a radio presenter since 2009. I also studied Drama at Exeter University between 2006 and 2009.
My passion for languages started several years ago, when I decided to start learning Spanish. I have been studying at the University of Westminster since 2013, and managed to practice my Spanish during a trip to Argentina last year. My love of languages inspired me to take a TEFL course, and Ive been teaching ever since and loving every minute of it!
I really enjoy helping people improve their English, as well as meeting people from all around the world with different cultural backgrounds. Hopefully I can help you too!
