I am a lively and committed teacher. I have worked in different parts of the UK and in different socio-economic contexts. Experience of teaching different age groups and different subjects such as English and Maths, has increased my mental flexibility and scope.I am currently tutoring children in these subjects. Media Studies has recently been included in these subjects, a natural extension to a life-time interest in film, print media etc.

Passionate about need to instill basic literacy and thinking skills in children and young people.

Availability: I am available throughout the daytime and early evenings.

Experience: I have extensive teaching experience as classroom teacher at KS1, KS2, and KS3 levels. I have worked in both primary and secondary schools in the UK. I have also worked abroad. As a Dyslexia Specialist I have worked closely with my local authority to raise awareness/improve teaching of special needs in schools. I have extensive experience of classroom teaching in KS1,2 and 3. I am also highly experienced in one-to-one teaching. I worked with my local authority to raise grades from D to C in English/English Literature for several years. I have experience of teaching many types of Special needs children, including those in Special Needs schools
