Information about Ramsey

Hi, I am a 24 year old Law Graduate from University College London currently working as a part time GCSE English Teacher. I love teaching and seeing my students understand concepts before applying them in exam conditions to acheive top grades.

Since 2014 I have tutored students at GCSE, IB, and Degree Level in a variety of subjects.

At GCSE, and IB level I have helped students achieve top grades in English, French, History and Geography.

My academic achievements and background include achieving 41/45 in the IB (38/42 in subjects) as well as an Upper Second Class Honours Law Degree from UCL (University College London).

I am also qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language under the TEFL Program. I undertook the TEFL course in 2015.

My subjects at IB and Degree level were:

IB (41/45):
History (HL) - 7
Geography (HL) - 6
French B (HL) - 7
Maths Studies (SL) - 7
English Literature (SL) - 5
Biology (SL) - 6

UCL Law:
Criminal Law
Contract Law
Public Law
Land Law
Equity & Trusts
Tort Law
EU Law
Jurisprudence
Environmental Law
Immigration and Refugee Law
Family Law
Employment Law

As a tutor, I operate on the basis of three principles:
(1) Understanding - this involves me addressing the why behind each concept I teach to help students really get a grasp over the rationales behind concepts.
(2) Real-life examples - I like bringing concepts to life and do this by giving digestible and relatable examples based on the interests of my students.
(3) Playing the Game - I believe most exam boards and systems have specific expectations unique to each of them and teaching students those criteria for success enables them to produce content suited to the examiners. By combining these three principles students become well equipped to achieve success in their studies.

If you have any further questions please feel free to reach out.
