I am a university graduate training to be a Primary school teacher. I volunteer and help as a primary school teaching assistant, I also teach dance and I deliver educational tours and activities to schools visiting my local zoo. Within my school experience I have helped children one-on-one, created classroom resources and marked work giving feedback on how the children can improve. I am familiar with the national curriculum and have been accepted to complete a postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) to become a primary school teacher.

Experience: As I tutor, I act as additional help to give a child the boost they need to feel familiar and confident with topics they`re struggling with. I`ll break down the subject content with them and go through it to find which area they`re getting stuck on and try to work through it with them. Then it`s about putting it into practice with repetition so it becomes natural. The main point is to make it interesting and be patient as everyone learns at their own pace and if the child is not understanding, you must be able to adapt and try a new method of explaining it for them.
