Hi,

My name is Gemma and I am offering 11+ tuition and maths, English, and science tuition up to GCSE level. I passed the 11+ myself and attended Chelmsford County High School for girls before then entering King Edward VI Grammar School for sixth form. I studied physics at the University of Bristol though did not complete the degree due to medical reasons.

Prior to the coronavirus pandemic I was working abroad as a scuba diving instructor, including teaching the Science of Diving speciality course. Given that this is no longer a viable career, I am returning work as a private tutor in the UK.

I believe in helping students identify areas of weakness in their studies and helping them find the best way for them to learn. I also like to help students build confidence in their academic abilities, and encourage them to see exam situations as a way to show off their knowledge rather than see them as stressful situations.

Availability: Evenings and weekends
