Information about Mahi

Hi! My name is Mahi, and I am a friendly, committed tutor currently studying Pharmaceutical Sciences with Regulatory Affairs at Kingston University. I have over 3 years of tutoring experience supporting students at KS2, KS3, 11+, and GCSE level in Maths, English, and Science.

My teaching style is patient, engaging, and tailored to each student. I begin by identifying areas of difficulty, then break topics into clear, manageable steps. I use practice questions, visual aids, real-life examples, and regular mini-quizzes to boost understanding and confidence.

Also, my passion for education began as a peer mentor, helping younger students with reading and homework. I have also worked as a nanny and university representative, which has shaped my empathetic and encouraging approach.

Above all, I aim to help students not only achieve their academic goals, but also build lasting confidence in their abilities!

Experience: I have over 3 years of tutoring experience, supporting students at KS2, KS3, 11+, and GCSE in Maths, English, and Science. I have taught both in-person and online, helping students develop understanding, confidence, and exam skills.

My online lessons use interactive tools like screen-sharing, virtual whiteboards, and online quizzes, while in-person sessions focus on practical examples and hands-on problem-solving. I have experience tailoring lessons to individual needs, identifying areas of difficulty, and breaking topics into clear, manageable steps.

Beyond academic tutoring, I have developed strong mentoring skills through my roles as a peer mentor, nanny, and university representative, which helps me build positive, supportive relationships with my students and encourage them to reach their full potential.
