I have recently graduated with a First Class BA in English Language and Literature from Somerville College, University of Oxford. I also received a Distinction (equivalent to a First) in my first year university exams. I was awarded the Principal`s Prize (for scoring in the top 10% of the university-wide cohort), the Somerville College Prize, the Barraclough Scholarship, and the Mary Somerville Prize during my time at university.

I have been tutoring extensively throughout my undergraduate degree, both via Skype and in person. I have tutored international students (Beijing, Toronto) online, in both Oxford applications and preparation for English exams. I have also tutored many students in London: I have taught, and still teach, English Language and Literature GCSE, IGCSE and A Level, 11+ exams, History GCSE and A-Level, Politics AS and A-Level, and Oxford entrance preparation.

I love tutoring, and I enjoy seeing the successful results this teaching has produced. I will be starting a research-based MPhil at the University of Cambridge this October (until June), and I will continue tutoring during this time, both in London and online.

Availability: I will be starting an MPhil (9 months) at the University of Cambridge in October. I would be travelling regularly to London due to the flexible nature of the course (and the short terms), and I am available to tutor most days. I would be happy to tutor via Skype or in person.

Experience: I have extensive teaching experience, and I have produced excellent results.
I have tutored Chinese students in English speaking and writing, a Canadian A-Level student in applying for Oxford, and two students in GCSE English. Both of these students received A* grades in their exams.
I have tutored an A Level student in English Literature and Politics A-Level for a year now. He is yet to receive his results, but his grade went up from a D average in mock exams to a B in his most recent mock, and an A* in his English coursework, which I was proud of. His mother gave me the following reference:
