Information about Annie
I am a CELTA qualified English Language teacher with 6 years experience. My specialisation is in exam preparation for IELTS, International GCSE, Exam Techniques, Citizenship and History. I have taught and tutored in language schools across Oxford, Chile, Bristol and London.
I studied International Development at the University of Sussex. I am particularly interested in ensuring learners retain information and will ensure that tutoring is tailored to individual learning styles. I am currently training as a Forest School Leader, using techniques and theories from this training I am driven to ensure that my sessions are as dynamic, interesting and as memorable as possible.
Availability: Weekdays in the afternoon/ early evening

Experience: I completed my CELTA training in Oxford and continued to work at d`Overbroecks International College, Oxford tutoring IGCSE English and Citizenship and IELTS preparation at the Sixth Form College. I then took a position with the UNDP in Chile to teach English in a disadvantaged high school in Southern Chile. Returning to the UK, I have been an English Learning tutor in Clifton High School, Bristol. My role was supporting children of all ages (4-18 yrs) with English integration in the national curriculum. In addition, I developed exam preparation workshops for GCSE students focussing particularly on working with learning styles.
My passion for social equality has lead me into working for award winning educational charity - IntoUniversity as a Primary FOCUS Coordinator. I was developing educational workshops and leading the delivery of primary programmes to Primary schools in Bristol.
