I ask lots of questions to check understanding, and to help with memorising and retrieval.

I had to work hard for my grades and I didn`t find it easy. I believe this helps with my teaching as I can see where you might be struggling and adapt my methods to suit. I find it is much easier to learn by understanding and enjoying rather than memorising.

I went to Nottingham University, worked as a medicinal chemist in Essex during my sandwich year before working in finance and IT in London for several years. I then moved to the USA for three years, and now live near Bingley with my husband, our two daughters and our dog, Teddy.
