Information about Mila

I am a passionate advocate for accessible education and believe that with the correct support everyone can achieve greatly.

I am currently studying for a Foundation Diploma at the Kingston School of Art, previously I studied at The Tiffin Girls Grammar School where I attained A-level results A*AA in my A-levels for Mathematics, Physics and Fine Art. I also completed Geography AS with grade A and achieved 10 A*s at GCSE level. I have been working as a tutor for 3 years, experience listed below.

Availability: Weekday 12pm onwards

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I have worked as a tutor for a larger company for just under a year,
this job further allowed me to develop my communication skills as they became an integral part of my job as well as growing my adaptability to different clientele, demands and requirements. The role of tutor made time management, multitasking and working hard habits well ingrained into my work ethic, particularly having to usually manage six children at a time. The job involved supporting and tutoring groups of six in English and Maths whilst writing detailed reports on the work that they were completing and feedback on the session. I would then communicate this to parents in verbal feedback as well as a written report, also holding 11+ classes weekly in a classroom environment. Verbal and written communication were paramount to this job and working within a larger company and a larger team of tutors grew my understanding of teamwork and the way it can increase the efficiency of a workplace. The role was given a great responsibility in managing the requirements of children in a wide age range of 4-15 and was well supported but very self motivated and required taking initiative and learning very fast.
