Information about Donna
I am proud to say that I have been a teacher of Politics, Sociology and Psychology for 22 years. I still feel very blessed to be doing a job that I love.
The COVID pandemic resulted in the necessity of me supporting my students online and I now find myself fully conversant with this mode of tutoring and offer this option too.
I have been an examiner for a number of years; AQA and Edexcel, for Politics, Sociology and Psychology. I have seen the benefits of my experiences, in this context, with my students all attaining top grades; both in the traditional classroom and those students that I tutor.
Availability: With the option of online tutoring, my availability is much more flexible; times, only, need to be negotiated.
All students that accept me/and whom I accept, are scheduled for the agreed weekly dates/times.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have undertaken two postgraduate certificates of education; the first, for teaching Politics and Sociology at Further Education Level (often adult learners or disengaged teenagers), the second, for teaching aforementioned subjects and Psychology within a secondary school level.
I have, in my 22 years of teaching, assumed many roles and responsibilities that I believe enhance my ability to effectively tutor on a one-to-one basis; either in person or remotely. For example, I have been Subject Leader, Pastoral Leader, Key Stage 4 and 5 Coordinator and Leadership Teacher for Accelerated learning.
I have been privately tutoring for nearly 6 years on this site and others; this site for the last 3 years. Please see my feedback for your reference.
