Hello I am Cecilia,
I was born in Italy from an Italian father and a Belgian mother, I moved to the UK only recently. I completed my entire education in Italy, I studied languages at high school and then graduated in Political Sciences at the University of Pavia.
Languages have always been my passion, I grew up in a bilingual environment where both French and Italian were spoken at home.
During my time at high school I had the opportunity to learn written French and to give a grammatical structure to the language. At the same time I achieved fluency in English which I then further improved when marrying my British husband and once I moved to the UK.
Over the years I encouraged my children to develop the same passion for languages and I was successful in doing so by making sure they had an educational background in Italy and the UK. Now they are both working in the UK and knowing to speak two languages took them quite far in their working carriers. I remember when they were little I was speaking in English to them they used to tell me: “mum please change language, we do not like English!”. Nowadays they are very thankful to me for insisting and being persistent in tutoring and talking to them in a different language.
To teach and learn a new language we all need to be passionate about it. A new language is an insight to a different culture and the necessary tool for a whole new level of communication. I am sure I can help you in your the learning process of both languages: French and Italian.

Experience: In the past, I have been working in companies where speaking different languages was a strict requirement in the export sales department.
When I started to build my family, I quit my job and after a few years I worked as translator from English to French and English to Italian and participated to client events and exhibitions in the industrial sector.
I am currently an housewife and I would be delighted to transmit my passion for languages to somebody else.
