I am an LLB Law graduate of the University of Exeter. At sixth form, I studied the International Baccalaureate with biology, chemistry and psychology at higher level. I have had over a year of tutoring (informal and formal combined).

I became a tutor because I understand the importance of learning to understand rather than learning to remember. I only take on topics that I completely understand so that I can effectively teach these topics to a student. I mainly tutor science subjects especially biology and chemistry. I tutor all three sciences at GCSE level. I also tutor biology and psychology at IB and biology at A-level. As a law graduate, I can also tutor A-level law. In addition to this, I also have experience with academic mentoring and guidance of students applying to university especially Medicine. I can help with personal statements, university choices, UCAS guidance and even course choices.

I recognise that all students are different which means that they have unique requirements. I usually spend most of my first lesson creating what I call a `student profile`. This includes ascertaining information about the student`s course, subjects, topics, learning style and other things that are relevant. This allows me to create a long-term plan for regular lessons and individual lesson plans tailored to the student. I use a range of teaching styles including presentations, quizzes and place an emphasis on interactive learning.

As well as tutoring, I am aspiring for a career as a legal professional. My hobbies include nature photography, fashion illustration and perfume making.
