Information about Helen
I am a Lead Practitioner in MFL in a school in Hornchurch. I currently teach Spanish to A level but I can also offer Italian to A level. I also have experience of teaching primary languages and currently tutor children who are in year 3-6.
I have been teaching languages for over 15 years as a private tutor and have been working as a Secondary school language teacher for nearly 12 years. Prior to teaching I worked in London in banking and used my languages in a business context.
I realise that every student`s need is different and will need a tailored approach to their learning. Due to my vast experience I am able to help pupils obtain their desired goal by use of visual, auditory and kinaesthetic techniques. As I currently teach GCSE and A level Spanish in my day job, I have in depth understanding of the exam criteria and what is needed in order to achieve a level 4-9. I have worked with different exam boards and have also worked as an examiner for the Spanish GCSE. I have created resources which facilitate learning and help pupils to become familiar with the expectations of the demanding GCSE exam.

Good tutor, punctual & reliable, always follows up with homework straight after lessons. My son enjoyed his lessons with Helen & felt much more confident doing his GCSE Spanish exams. Would highly recommend.

My children have been receiving tuition from Helen since September 2015 in both Spanish and Italian. Her teaching techniques are fantastic and my children not only enjoy their time with Helen, but are also learning and absorbing the languages quickly. Would recommend Helen to other parents looking for a tutor in Spanish and Italian.
