Information about Justine

*Now specialising in Transition support*
I am now available for online tuition. I am particularly interested in helping current GCSE mathematicians who want to study A Level Maths. I will recap crucial GCSE skills students need and introduce them to A Level content. I am also happy to help students form a maths portfolio as part of their sixth form application.

I am a University of Warwick maths graduate and Maths Lead Practitioner. My approach to teaching is guided by my belief that anyone can achieve with the right approach, which is why I ensure my sessions are aimed at helping students ‘learn how to learn’ as well as covering the maths they need.

Sport is one of my passions and I often use it as a tool to engage students and help link maths to the real world; I play up to four times a week with a team in the FA Women’s National League, but I am still very flexible with my availability.

I have tutored a range of abilities, from children struggling with KS1 up to high achieving KS5 students, and I am familiar with the syllabuses of all major exam boards, including IGCSE and IB.

I offer an in-depth phone consultation before our first session so that I can provide a tailor-made tutoring experience. We will discuss what you hope to gain from our sessions and establish specific goals we want to achieve; with these in mind, I will formulate a plan so that our time together is as productive as possible and we can hit the ground running from the very beginning. I’m more than happy to set homework if we decide it’s appropriate and I can provide termly reports so that we can track our progress accurately.

Whatever your needs, contact me and we’ll discuss how I could help.
