I am a former Headteacher and qualified SENDCO with 35 years` experience in education and over 11 years` experience as a private tutor.
I specialise in preparation for grammar school and independent school entrance examinations, including GL Assessment, CEM, Select Insight and ISEB Pre-Test assessments.
I also provide interview preparation for pupils applying to independent schools.
My approach combines high academic expectations with a calm and supportive style that helps pupils develop both confidence and independence.
Availability: I only tutor online.

Derek took our son under his wing when our son was preparing to sit his 11+. My son can not sing Derek`s praises enough. As parents, we very quickly noticed positive improvements on our son`s academic progress. Derick was forever patient with our son which allowed our son to grow in confidence and work harder to improve his marks. Derek`s effective communication also ensured that our son grasped all learning outcomes with ease.
