Experience: I am a qualified TEFL teacher, having completed and passed the Trinity TESOL course. I have spent, between July and September seven, weeks working on a short term contract as an English teacher at the International Language Centre, Eastbourne then the last months in Primary Schools as a Learning Support Assistant for a Year 6 child with Special Educational Needs in order to gain valuable experience and help to build the foundations of a teaching career.

My time spent working at both ILC and in Primary Schools was profoundly educational, rewarding and stimulating and I am enthusiastically seeking to continue working as a language teacher.

I am an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant. I have always been inspired by and have a natural rapport with learners, a patience and sensitivity regarding their learning process and aspire to create a supportive, fun and stimulating environment in which they have the confidence to express themselves and grow.
I would be very interested in applying for any vacancy, as I feel that I fully meet the requirements as a TEFL.
• Taught all levels and courses including Special Interest courses and tutorials
• Planned lessons following the outlined syllabus
• Developed new learning materials and exercises mindful of students` cultural and ethnic origins
• Marked and corrected students` homework and tests
• Wrote student reports
• Completed all administrative duties including the input of student attendance and grades into the designated ‘i-tracker’ system and general maintenance of the Education First database
• Monitored student attendance and reporting of absenteeism
• Attended and contributed to weekly staff meetings and briefings

I am native French but have spent the last decade working throughout Europe allowing me to also become fluent in English and Spanish. My previous professional experience was mainly in the high end hospitality business where working as a team was always considered the best way to succeed in terms of both personal and collective goals. I am therefore able to work in close partnership with colleagues and contribute to the functionality of a team, as well as doing so independently.

I would strive to integrate closely with your team in order to learn from them and ensure that all students reached their greatest potential. My previous experience also taught me great tenacity, stamina and patience in adapting and responding to the needs of others, especially when working under pressure.

The time I have spent working abroad also demonstrates my general curiosity and aptitude for learning, with particular regard to languages, and also my ability to adapt well to diverse situations and cultures.

I have strong preparative and organizational abilities, with respect to following, developing and adapting class materials and an ability to give clear and concise instructions. I have a calm, positive yet outgoing nature, and in this respect manage to motivate and communicate well with both colleagues and students.

I would very much like the opportunity to be part of your committed and professional team and would work consistently to develop my own skills and to support, encourage and develop the students in my care.

I believe that my passion and curiosity for teaching languages would be an appropriate fit with your school and would equally provide me with a great opportunity to develop my own abilities. Should you be willing to meet with me to discuss further, then I would be delighted to hear from you. I can be contacted either via email at je.@gmail or on my mobile: 07474 200 367.

Yours sincerely
