I am currently a Secondary School Art and Design teacher in Hillingdon. I have over nineteen years of teaching experience within KS3, KS4 and KS5 Textiles, Art and Design, Photography. I also teach Citizenship and have helped teach and assist in English lessons. Inspiring future generations in all aspects of their lives is what drives me. As a result of my current teaching position I am aware of the National Curriculum requirements. I have excellent organisational and behaviour management skills, and manage students, activities and resources with professionalism. An excellent communicator with a high level of interpersonal skill, I am equally at home communicating with students, colleagues or parents. I also have experience teaching pupils aged from four years old to adults outside of the class room, as a professional practitioner in my specialist area.

I produce and sell Printed Textiles. I also run workshops for children and adults through organisations such as Islam Expo, The Science Museum, Barbican Centre, and The Brent Borough Community Centre. Travel inspires and influences my work and my teaching. I try to adapt any arts and crafts I encounter directly into my lessons through my schemes of work.

Keeping up to date with current trends in the Arts is very important to me and I regularly visit museums, galleries and the theatre. I particularly enjoy dance acts from ballet to street and am a regular visitor to Sadler’s Well.

Availability: I am DBS checked
Monday and Tuesday (9am to 7pm) and Weekends (9am to 3pm).
Areas: Chiswick, Isleworth, Brentford, Ealing, Fulham and Acton.

£30 hourly for one to one tuition
£50 for two pupils

Created schemes of work, homework and resources for the Art Department.
Developed appropriate specifications, marking policies and teaching strategies in the Curriculum Area.
Organised end of year student Art and Design exhibitions, and student led assemblies for the whole school.
Organised and run Batik workshops, fashion shows, on going lunch time and after school techniques and skills based workshops for students, in order to facilitate and encourage learning experiences which promotes individuals to achieve their full potential.
Organised and carried out school visits to museums, art galleries, Kew gardens, Thorpe Park and ‘The Clothes Show’.
As a Form Tutor I have promoted the progress and well-being of individual students and of the Form group as a whole. I have seen two sets of Forms through from year 7 to year 11. I have also been a Form tutor to Sixth Form students.
I have supported students with Bengali Oral revision and have conducted Bengali Oral Exams effectively.
I have encouraged and successfully entered pupils Art, Textiles and Photography work in international and national Art Competitions, such as the Saatichi Gallery International Competition and The Mayor of London Fourth Plinth Competition.
