Information about Aiden

Hello! My name`s Aiden and I am a primary school teacher in a Leeds school (graded outstanding). While currently working in Year 4, I have experience across the entire breadth of KS2, having taught in both Year 3 and Year 6 during my training year. My training was completed via the schools direct training route, where I was given a final grade of `outstanding`.

I am a friendly and an approachable person with a passion for turning learning into an enjoyable and memorable experience for all my pupils. My aim is to ensure all my pupils leave with a well rounded understanding of the national curriculum and plenty of happy and positive memories of their time in class.

Outside of teaching, I have always enjoyed playing and coaching sports - particular rugby union. My experiences with the sport have led me across various countries (including the USA and Japan) and several teams. I have coached junior rugby since my late teens and have been lucky enough to see the benefits that team sports can bestow upon children.

I am a flexible and reliable tutor who is willing to adapt their teaching to the individual needs of your children. This will ensure that any misconceptions or gaps in their knowledge can be addressed fully in a productive and positive environment.

Availability: I am available Monday, Thursday and Friday evenings (after 5pm) and Saturday and Sundays all day.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: Before starting my career as a teacher, I worked in a school in North Leeds as a teaching assistant in Year 6. I worked with two outstanding teachers, who gave me a wonderful insight into the world of teaching and how best to inspire the children in your care. As a TA, I spent a large period of time working with children on the SEN register helping them before and during their SATS.

Academically, I have been awarded a 2:1 from the University of Leeds for my undergraduate degree and an `outstanding` with QTS from Leeds Beckett University for my teacher training. As part of my school direct training, I was employed by a school, full time, for the academic year as an unqualified teacher.
