Information about Antonia
Hi! I`m a French, Spanish and English tutor with an undergraduate degree in French and Spanish from King`s College London, and a Master`s in Translation from University College London. Other than teaching, I`m a Freelance French and Spanish into English Medical Translator and Subtitler.
I help students prepare for their GCSEs and A-Levels, especially by providing support with grammar and literature analysis. I am also able to provide homework support. For the A-Level and GCSE French and Spanish sessions, I like to incorporate short, relevant translation tasks, as I believe this is one of the the most enjoyable and effective ways to get to grips with a language.
As an example, I helped one of my students go from a U to an A in A-Level French.
I thoroughly enjoyed both my degrees and would be happy to share my experiences studying languages at university. I am a friendly and patient tutor and encourage all my students to ask questions if they do not understand something. No question is a silly question.
Availability: I`m available Monday to Friday after school and in the evenings, and on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: During my A-Levels, I assisted year-8 Spanish students with their class work and helped the teacher to mark their homework. During my undergraduate degree, I provided tuition for first-year undergraduate students who needed support with grammar exercises and translation tasks.
I work closely with students and their family to ensure that the lessons are tailored to their needs.
