Laura has been a tutor for my children since 2021. She works well with both of them, recognising their various learning styles and engaging them so that they get the best from their time with her. The children like her calm approach and the games she plays to encourage learning. She adapts the lessons to meet their needs and is very flexible.
A great start with Laura. My daughter is very happy.
Laura taught my son for 2.5 years at Yr2, Yr3, Yr4. My son needed additional support as he was an EAL (English as an additional language) student. When she started to teach my son at the beginning of year 2, it was our first year in England and my son was not speaking any English. It should be a very hard task for a tutor to teach a non-English speaker child, but she achieved to bring him to his class level within a short time. At first period, she taught my son basic English speaking skills. After having improvement in this, she taught spelling, reading, grammar and maths, whichever subject my son needed help with. She was always very well organised and followed a plan which she prepared specific to where my son was inadequate.
Without a doubt, Laura demonstrates all attributes of an excellent and dedicated tutor. I highly recommend her as your childs tutor for primary school support.
