Hello and thank you for reading my profile!
I am an enthusiastic and passionate primary school teacher living in North Wales. I am very approachable and love to make lessons fun and engaging for children. I qualified from my teacher training with an "Outstanding" grade and continued to develop my experience by working in an Outstanding school in Cheshire. I have taught both KS1 and KS2 and have worked with a range of children with additional needs. I have a strong academic background and qualified with a first class degree in Psychology. I then followed my passion of working with children to train as a teacher. I have spent 3 years teaching year 3 and have a good knowledge of the fundamental building blocks necessary for a child to flourish in English and Maths. I have taught a wide range of children who were working close to age related expectations and many who were working below ARE in various areas of the curriculum. I have taught children with a range of diagnoses and this has equipped me with a broad range of skills and strategies to support learners. Additionally, I have worked with many pupils struggling with self esteem, confidence and other areas of need. I value getting to know the child and ensuring that my lessons are tailored to their needs and capture their interest. I have been the Art and DT lead for 2 years and love to get creative! In my spare time, I love to be outdoors with my dog Angus and climb the mountains of Snowdonia. I prefer to teach children in person and I am happy to travel to tutor at home provided it is within a reasonable distance. If this is not possible, I am happy to tutor online. Experience: My Experience:

- I have spent three years teaching year 3 in a school in Cheshire.

- My teacher training was carried out at Chester University, whereby I was granted Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Prior to my teacher training I worked as a teaching assistant for a range of schools but particularly in year 4.

- I gained a 1st class degree in Psychology before attaining a Masters Scholarship in the field of child health. This involved designing and implementing a range of interventions in schools across the Midlands.

- I have volunteered with children in Uganda, Nepal and Moldova and love to learn about different cultures and have fun!
