I am a highly experienced A Level Psychology teacher, examiner and and Head of Department at a high achieving school and outstanding Sixth Form.

I have taught AQA Psychology for 16 years and have extensive knowledge of the specification and how to develop knowledge and skills to improve attainment. I am also an experienced AQA psychology examiner, marking both paper 1 & 2.

I take a personalised approach to tutoring, taking a systematic approach to identify gaps in knowledge and key areas for skill development. Sessions are tailored to individual needs and exam technique (including essay writing) and engaging with exam questions will be a key element of tutoring sessions.

Sessions will also include, where needed, reteaching areas of the specification, a variety of activities for retrieval practice including exam questions, interactive quizzes, worksheets and revision activities. I will also provide resources for students to work on between tutoring sessions and provide feedback.

Where needed I can support students with their study skills and help them to try new techniques that will help with the revision process and manage such a content heavy subject. Alongside this I will listen, provide encouragement, support and reflection which is key to making progress in A level Psychology.
