Information about Rebecca

I am a friendly, enthusiastic, patient and professional qualified teacher, who works full-time as an Upper KS2 teacher.

My tutoring sessions are adapted to cater to the individual child`s needs and goals. I develop a personal learning program for each individual child based on what they would like to learn and the areas that they wish to improve in. I assess a child`s needs at the start to tailor the sessions appropriately. I am able to offer writing, reading and maths tuition at a primary level.

I feel it is of the utmost importance that a child is allowed to take control of their own learning journey, and it is my job to allow this to happen. I enjoy the process of watching a child grow in confidence and achieving their goals. Parents are given a termly update report based on their child`s progress.

I strive to ensure that all children make outstanding progress. It is a passion of mine to help every child reach their full potential and assist all children in overcoming any barriers that may affect their learning. I enjoy the challenge of motivating reluctant learners alongside those who are gifted and highly talented.

Experience: A qualified primary school teacher. I am teaching in Upper Key Stage 2. However, I have experience across both key stages. I am the mathematics lead for my school, focusing on the implementation of mastery maths.

I am lucky enough to have had the experience of developing and implementing the new National Curriculum. I was part of the development team who oversaw the consultation process within the new curriculum. This focused on educational policies, including school improvement strategies, pupil performance.

I have proven success in school of raising standards and enabling children to progress in their learning.

Becky`s positivity is perfect for my maths phobic daughter. She`s fantastic at breaking the session down into segments so that it goes quickly. She balances the fun and chat with making sure things are covered. My daughter says that Becky makes things easier to understand. We are really happy with Becky`s tutoring.

My daughter is in year 4 and was struggling with Maths, I feel very fortunate to have found Miss Rebecca as she has been wonderful with my daughter. My daughter said everything was explained really well and found learning on a one to one with her really easy. Miss Rebecca was great, I didn`t have to explain in great detail the difficulties my daughter was experiencing, as they worked together looking at areas that needed to improve.
Miss Rebecca brought everything with her,A Book, white board/pen and some counting blocks which my daughter found really fun to use.
At the end of the lesson my daughter was very excited to show me what she had done "Amazing"!
My daughter usually shy`s away from "Maths" however says she is looking forward to her next lesson. Thank you.
