I have a broad schooling, completing studies at undergraduate and post-graduate levels in subject areas spanning the Social Sciences and Humanities. I qualified to teach in FE Colleges and Universities in 1998.

I didn`t excel academically at school and was advised to get a job after my A Levels because I didn`t have what it takes to succeed at degree level. I went, completed my degree, stayed on and then completed a Doctorate in 2005.

We all have our own stories about studying and learning, some find it more difficult or challenging than others. There are so many reasons why we may need some support and advice to help us succeed. We will work together, to find practical, engaging and, dare I say it, fun ways to help you succeed.

As well as supporting students to aspire and achieve their goals as a tutor, I also run a social enterprise that promotes playfulness as an educational, developmental and social tool for both children and adults.

Availability: Monday & Tuesday - from 6pm
Thursday & Friday - 10am to 5pm

Experience: I have taught in Further Education, University and Adult Education settings over a period of 20 years, in a range of subjects, spanning the Social Sciences and Humanities. I am a qualified teacher and lecturer, having gained a PGCE in 1998. I am also a Chartered Psychologist.

Learning new stuff, or reviewing what you already know, I will provide you tips and tricks to explore your subject area in fun and engaging ways. Success is guaranteed for all my students. All I ask is that you commit yourself to exploring your subject with a sense of purpose. And if you`re struggling to find that purpose, I will help you to better understand why you`re studying and regain your `mojo`.

I have collected lots of engaging and fun methods to support you achieving your goals. Learning with me will not be a drag. Rather, you will look forward to our sessions.
