Information about Rhianna
I am a second year university student studying Medicine at UCL currently with 4 years` tutoring experience in maths, sciences and english ranging from 11+ to AS/A2. Also, being a medical student I have helped many potential students with their UKCAT/BMAT and also provide support with general UCAS applications. I genuinely have a passion for teaching and strive to find the best methods to help my students achieve and exceed their goals.
please contact me for any more information/for a trial lesson.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Availability: I usually have availability most evenings and weekends however during the COVID-19 outbreak I basically have availability most days at most times to help students keep on top of their work especially with schools closed. At uni, I have tutored 2 years online so I am well-experienced and have a clear and effective approach when it comes to online teaching and using this platform.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have a lot of experience not only with home/online tutoring but with teaching in general: I helped TA in primary/secondary school classes for 2 years as well as volunteered with helping SEN and low-ability students to develop their reading skills. This means I am well versed in tailoring my style of teaching for the student, analysing their strengths and weaknesses and manipulating the content in a way they would understand and retain the information.
Also, I like to emphasise the importance of exam technique to my students and not only teach them the answer, but make them understand why this answer and how to read questions and formulate answers to achieve top marks in their exams. This tactic has aided previous students of mine to receive amazing results e.g . have gone from a grade 3 to grade 6 in a matter of months.
