I love teaching and working with young people: building a rapport and observing the progress they can make is extremely rewarding. Until September 2019 I spent 8 years as a Science/Biology teacher, most recently as Curriculum Leader for Biology. Since then I have been at home looking after my two young daughters but enjoy tutoring as a way of continuing to utilise my knowledge and experience.

Availability: I currently have availability on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning and am continuing with online sessions only for the foreseeable.

I am only taking bookings up to the end of the academic year 2022 for the time being.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I gained a PGCE from Cambridge University in 2011 and then worked in secondary schools as a Science/Biology teacher for 8 years. I have experience at KS3 and GCSE Science, IGCSE Biology, A-level Biology and Psychology and IB Biology and ESS.

Throughout those 8 years, I worked with students across the ability range from very different backgrounds. My professional qualifications and this time spent teaching in varied settings has taught me a lot about tailoring lessons and materials to each student`s unique requirements.

Most recently I worked in a school that made extensive use of technology and therefore am in a strong position to transfer my skills to the online platform.
