Information about Joanna
I love teaching and pride my self on helping students develop the necessary skills and confidence they need to achieve the best they can in an exam environment as well as school in general. I am fortunate that I have KS2/KS3/KS4 teaching experience so that I have a generous overview of school demands and able to track progress through regular assessments and practice papers. I am a Sportsperson and have become a tutor so that I can pursue my sport and have a work-life balance. I teach on line only and both myself and students have found this to be extremely effective and successful.

Experience: I have over 21 years teaching experience within Primary and Secondary School. I have been the Head of Year 7,Year 10, and Year 11 at an Ofsted `Outstanding` school where I specialised in Maths GCSE Foundation) and English GCSE exam preparation. I enjoy developing students confidence and building on their skills as they work towards exams. My area of strength has been working with Foundation students in Maths and Foundation and Higher for English language and literature.
As a former Primary School teacher ( before teaching at Secondary school ) of Year 6 and the transition Year 7 I am able to support students working towards the 11+,13+ and SATS and provide practice papers. I am able to provide regular tests and assessments to track and monitor progress. As well as teaching GCSE English Language and Literature, my specialism in Maths is teaching borderline foundation students and improving their grades to secure a pass and build confidence..
