We are delighted to have found Debz. She is really helping our son with his history A level. Debz is friendly, conscientious and very professional. She has spent a lot of her own time understanding our son’s additional educational needs (which are complex) and adapting her teaching methods accordingly. She has developed a very good rapport with our son and has motivated him to work independently. He really enjoys his lessons with her. Debz has helped our son to understand the requirements of A level and to gain invaluable guidance in responding to exam questions.

We have been very impressed with Debz. I employed her services after my Sons Mock results were lower than the previous ones last summer. It was clear to see from the start that she was passionate about teaching and working towards getting the best results out of her students. After her initial session with my son, where she quickly identified the areas that needed attention, she spent time here, unpaid, looking at any material he had from his school and communicating with my sons teachers, so she could gain insight on curriculum and examining board criteria to help her plan sessions and teach effectively . She also got to know my son quickly and adapt her style to suit his needs. She identified learning difficulties he was having, something his school had taken years to do. My son doesn’t respond well to teachers who are too direct and blunt, he is someone who works best with teachers who can boost his confidence and who are patient , friendly, encouraging but who will also challenge him when needed. Debz is all that! Since starting with her, my son has gone from strength to strength and after only 2 to 3 months ( 2 hrs every fortnight sessions ) his present mock results were better. Thank you Debz for helping my son, I wish we had found you earlier.

Sadly, I cannot recommend Debz as a tutor. After a successful introductory lesson, Debz unfairly criticised my daughter`s "attitude" and made highly inappropriate personal comments. My daughter left the lesson in tears. I have emailed Tutor Hunt twice to address this, but after two weeks have received no response.
