I struggled as a child with learning to read and write and this experience gives me a unique insight into the difficulties faced by children in mastering literacy and makes me well placed to offer effective support.

I am able to make a good rapport with children and young people and enjoy teaching.

Experience: I am a primary trained teacher and have thirty years` experience. I have worked in FE as well as primary phase where I covered all ages. I also worked as a specialist literacy teacher, supporting the teaching and learning of writing. I have many years experience of working in special needs. I have published with Scholastic on the teaching of phonics and spelling. In addition to literacy tuition for primary and early secondary students, I can also offer tuition in Latin.
