Information about Sue
Qualified BA (Hons) & PGCE Tutor | KS3 & GCSE English and Maths
I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. Lessons are tailored to each students needs, focusing on clear explanations and strong foundations so they can improve their understanding and results. Here are some of my reviews
Sue is a lovely bubbly lady with a lot of knowledge. She planned her lessons after listening to my granddaughter and spending time chatting through her past exam papers. Now she has a targeted plan and is already making a difference to her results, and more importantly her confidence when facing exams. Her tutoring is ongoing right up to my granddaughters exam day. I would highly recommend Sue. BARRY.
Fantastic tutor. Just what we were looking for! Approachable, down to earth, flexible, and extremely knowledgeable. We consider ourselves lucky to have found her. MICHELLE
Sue is an excellent tutor. Very experienced and spends time getting to know each individual student to tailor her tuition accordingly. Both our children have responded very positively to her very quickly. Definitely recommend. ASHLEY
Good tutor who has experience with dyslexia and learning disorders. Teaching methods are focused on enabling the student to realise and develop their talent. MANJEET
Availability: Any week day
I have a great deal of flexibility in my week. I am fully aware of the high demands on students studying for GCSE and for the right student that I take on I can adapt my availability around the student and their family.
I have several families who come back to me to tutor siblings as they develop trust and confidence in my support.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have taught in Nursey settings up to GCSE for thirty five plus years . This has been in the state, Independent and SEN sectors.
I have a great deal of experience with dyslexic students of s ages.
I have also worked as a tutor for homeschooling either as support for parents or as sole tutor.
I am here to help with a broad range of knowledge, enthusiasm and compassion. Learning should be fun !

We had only had a handful of lessons with Sue before the lockdown but during that short time we found her to be lovely and when we were not able to attend a lesson she offered help online if my daughter needed it. Sue has been very flexible, calm and seems to instinctively know what my daughter is trying to explain. My daughter enjoys her lessons.

A good tutor, who has experience with dyslexia learning disorders (especially recommended for early disability correction). Teaching methods are focused on enabling the student to realise and develop their talent. I`ll especially miss acoustic guitar lessons. Meetings had to be cut short after a few sessions, as a challenging opportunity came her way which required more of her time and this made it impossible to continue.
