I am very positive, fast-paced and extremely encouraging. I always aim to build confidence and boost mathematical ability both to as great an extent as possible. Being enormously driven and competitive, I will always take pride in my tutees and the impressive results they get. I have very useful resources including new IT based resources as well as past exam papers. I do not charge for the first session and always do an initial assessment after which I can then produce a schedule of topics in order to maximise how effective my tutoring sessions are. Experience: I studied mathematics at Hull University and have since worked as a fully qualified teacher of mathematics. I have experience of teaching mathematics in six different schools. I have regularly received the highest grade of `outstanding` for my lessons which have been observed by senior teachers throughout my career. I have also achieved very impressive results with my year eleven GCSE classes over the course of my career. I currently work at a school which has been graded as `outstanding` in all areas by Ofsted. I have additional responsibility for the standard of teaching and learning across the mathematics faculty. I have been on many different training courses which have been based on how maths can be made far easier for students. I have also marked GCSE examination papers so have very good knowledge and understanding of how students can gain and lose marks. Outside of my main job, I have consistently helped tutees of all ages and abilities achieve their desired qualification at the grade they wanted (please ask for references). I have also coached youth football teams of various ages.
