I am a highly organised and engaging tutor and I strive to enthuse all my students to reach their goals. I am ambitious that they strive to go the extra mile to reach their targets and overcome any weaknesses with my support. I am educated at a top ranking Russell Group university and with teaching qualifications. I am DBS checked. Students regularly achieve excellent results and achieve offers from top Secondary schools and universities. All students develop in their confidence as well as enjoy the lessons!
Availability: Flexible from Monday to Friday and some availability on Saturdays.

Experience: I have over 10 years of teaching experience in schools and on line and my specialism includes Common Entrance Exams, Primary, KS2 and KS3, GCSE, A Level and IB, Teaching English as a Foreign Language TEFL CELTA and Scolarships. I provide both individual and group classes.

Amanda is a great tutor and very experienced. She organises resources before the lesson and gives feedback after the lesson. Her resources are very useful and she offers homework weekly which she marks in her own time. My child was demotivated in English at school but, after being taught by Amanda, she has completely encouraged my son to participate a great deal with her in English Language and Literature. He seems really engaged in her class. She identifies what he finds challenging and patiently addresses these areas and then consolidates everything she teaches so that she ensures he understands fully and builds his confidence. I highly recommend Amanda.

Amanda has been working with our son for a number of years on his literacy and English, since he was in primary school. We have seen huge improvements in his understanding, performance and enjoyment of English as a result. She is really good at teaching techniques that can be used in a range of different contexts, with tools to help him in tests and exams, and he has definitely progressed significantly with her support and challenge.
