I specialise in 11 Plus tuition, having tutored a number of kids, including my own sons (Y7 and Y12) who attend Calday Grange Grammar school in Wirral. Please see my professional experience below, however, for 11 plus tuition, I believe, none of this is as relevant as having practical experience of preparing children for 11 plus Exam. Knowing the tricks of mental Maths and NVR, finding the most fun way of learning vocabulary, getting to grips with comprehension, and most important teaching kids time management techniques. Last but not least, making sure that kids get at least one mock exam experience.


The preparation material that I will be using for tuition will be GL based as all of the Wirral Grammar Schools have been advised that the test provider for September 2020 and September 2021 will be GL Assessment. This is a change from the previous test provider which was CEM.

Availability: 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm Monday - Friday
Weekends mostly available. Please note all lessons take place from my place in Saughall (on Skype now due to COvid-19 situation)

Experience:
In terms of professional experience, I have been working at the University of Chester since May 2009 (over 9 years), before that I worked with University of Leeds from 2005 – 2009. Over all I have 13 years’ experience of working in Higher Education. Training and Development is my passion. At Chester, one of my job roles is to deliver training sessions on new software called CME (Continuous Monitoring and Enhancement). I also hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
