Shalvi

Hi, my name is Shalvi. I am a first year student studying Dentistry at UoB. I achieved 9A*`s at GCSE and 2A*`s and an A at A-Levels.

I have 2 structures for offering tuitions:

1) Tutee Specific Plan - Tutee sends list of topics and areas that they find most challenging and I will prepare sessions tailored to these topics in advance.

2) Whole Syllabus Crash Course - I will cover the whole syllabus in an agreed time frame, as agreed with the tutee. More time will be spent on the more challenging topics and less challenging topics will be quickly visited.



Each session has a defined plan:

The Tutee will be asked in advance to read up on the tutorial content; I find this pre-reading, however brief, introduces familiarity to the topics covered and increases the rate and volume of retention.

We will then go through the topics for the tutorial which will consist of a presentation during which the tutee may pause to ask questions.

We will then go through examples of past paper questions on the topic covered.

I will end by giving a small recap test, and answers will be given for the student to consolidate.

Experience: Have tutored in both Biology and Psychology (AS and A-level) before.
